Athens Airport Information
Athens Airport Eleftherios Venizelos International Airport (ATH). The airport is located 20 miles (33km) south east of Athens city centre.
Transport: From Airport to Athens central. The best and easiest way to travel into the city from Athens airport is by the new Metro. Metro Line 3 connects the airport with Syntagma Square and Monastiraki.
General Transport: Athens International Airport is also connected to Athens Central Railway Station (Larissis Station) by the Suburban Rail line. The airport is also well served by local bus services.
Car Hire: All major car rental companies are represented, Alamo, Avis, Budget, Europcar, Hertz and Sixt. If you are just travelling to Athens then car hire is not recommended as parking and driving in Athens central can be extremely difficult.
