easyJet flights

EasyJet is one of Europe's leading low-cost point-to-point airlines, providing cheap flight ticket deals to over 150 destinations across 34 countries.

Introduction: easyJet's principal UK bases are London Luton and London Gatwick airports, with further operational hubs located throughout Europe. Many of these European hubs are in major cities such as Barcelona, Geneva, Paris, Amsterdam and Milan. On average, the airline carries over 60 million passengers annually, making it the second-largest budget airline in Europe by passenger numbers.

EasyJet operates as a low-cost carrier, delivering competitively priced fares with minimal onboard amenities. Operational costs are kept low by scheduling direct services between its large spread of hubs. The airline also benefits from established long-term trading partnerships with key airports and ground-handling operators.

(1) easyJet Tickets, Fares and Options: easyJet flights offer two types of airfares - Standard and Flexi.

Standard Fares include just the flight and a small under-seat cabin bag. You add and pay extra for hold luggage and seat reservations.

Flexi Fares are more expensive than standard but have additional benefits included within the price. Flexi fares include a large cabin bag, a 23kg hold bag, dedicated easyJet bag drop, up-front seating, easyJet Plus Speedy Boarding, fast track security (subject to availability), flexible flight changes and a Flexi bistro voucher valued at £7.50 (or currency equivalent) to spend on board.

easyJet flights are sold, on a first-come, first-served basis, with fares increasing as more seats are sold - so booking early is recommended. Occasionally fares can go down on a particular flight, especially if demand isn't as strong as expected.

Top Tip: To find the best flight ticket deals for a specific destination, try easyjet's 'Low Fare Finder Tool' - it can help find the cheapest flight ticket prices and seat availability over a range of dates.

(2) How many airports does easyJet fly to? easyJet is one of Europe's largest airlines, and with over 300 aircraft, the airline operates over 950 routes across 34 countries and 153 airports. Popular holiday destinations from the UK include Alicante, Amsterdam, Barcellona, Belfast, Crete, Faro, Geneva, Ibiza, Malaga, Nice, Paris and Tenerife.

(3) easyJet Fleet: The group, along with associate companies easyJet UK, easyJet Europe and easyJet Switzerland, operate a young aircraft fleet with over 300 Airbus A320 family aircraft. The fleet includes new generation Airbus A320neo aircraft, equipped with CFM LEAP-1A engines which are 15% more fuel efficient than current generation aircraft.

The latest aircraft to enter the fleet is the Airbus A321neo which has a 235-seat capacity. New and modern aircraft entering the fleet should assist easyJet in reaching its carbon reduction targets.

(4) Sustainability: Easyjet is working towards the decarbonisation of aviation; in November 2021 - they joined the UN-backed Race to Zero campaign. Easyjet operates Airbus NEO aircraft; these aircraft are more fuel efficient than the aircraft they replace and have a 50% noise reduction.

The airline continues to work closely with industry leaders to accelerate the development of zero-carbon emission technologies. Easyjet is working on alternative fuel technologies, and together with Rolls-Royce, they are pioneering the development of hydrogen combustion engine technology - technology that emits zero carbon emissions.
